Limitations
Whitespace, Unicode, Search, and Accessibility Limits
Multi-line banners need monospaced whitespace; proportional fonts, wrapping, or collapsed spaces can break the shape. Wide Unicode may be treated differently by search, moderation, and screen readers. Keep essential names and instructions in ordinary text.
The 5×7 engine supports a defined Latin, digit, and punctuation set instead of pretending every script has a correct block alphabet. Unsupported characters are diagnosed. PNG preserves pixels but is no longer searchable or editable text.

Use a destination that preserves spaces, line breaks, and a monospaced layout, such as a Markdown code block, README, terminal, plain-text file, source-code comment, or a chat code block. Test the exact destination before publishing.
The destination may collapse repeated spaces, use a proportional font, wrap long lines, or normalize Unicode. Copy as a code block where supported and use the 40, 80, and 120-column diagnostics to choose a narrower style or scale.
Banner mode supports Latin A–Z, digits 0–9, spaces, and common punctuation. Lowercase letters are normalized to uppercase. Unsupported characters are listed and preserved in the plain source, but they are not replaced with a misleading fake glyph.
Wide Copy-Paste mode preserves unsupported scripts and emoji while transforming supported Latin letters and digits. Banner mode reports unsupported characters and recommends switching modes when those characters are important.

Banner mode can download the current result as a UTF-8 text file or render it to a PNG. The text file remains editable. The PNG preserves the current visual layout but is an image rather than copyable text.
No. The PNG uses a browser canvas and a local monospace fallback. The copyable banner may render differently in another font. The PNG is useful when exact pixels matter more than editable text.
Generation runs in the browser. Share setup stores a shortened source and settings in the URL hash so the state can be restored. Anyone who receives that link can inspect its text, so do not put private information in a shared URL.
